why even have a website

I've touched on this in the original about section. It's two-fold:

When I say I like to write, I don't just mean prosaic, journal-like ramblings that seem to make up the bulk of this site. I do like to do that, but I enjoy writing just about everything, even code. It's still hard for me to think of markdown as code, but that's another story.

All language is code, we're just operating on an extremely high level of abstraction in our normal, regular communications. Just as all of these letters you are reading are really just a high level abstraction of zeros and ones. Just as those are representations of electrical currents...

Physics is weird. Nay, reality is strange.
